Watch repair services overview

three services

What the workshop offers and how each service works

Each service was chosen because it addresses a question owners actually bring to a watchmaker. Pricing is transparent, scope is agreed before work begins, and a written record accompanies every completed piece.

Back to Home

step one

Assessment

The watch is examined at the bench before any price is confirmed or work begins. The findings are described in plain terms. There is no charge for an initial look.

step two

Agreement

The scope of the service is agreed with the owner. If additional work becomes relevant during the service, contact is made before proceeding. Nothing is added without consent.

step three

Documentation

The completed watch is returned with a written note describing what was done, what was measured, what was left alone and any observations worth carrying forward.

Vintage dial care service

service 01

Vintage Dial and Hand Care

Careful attention to older dials where patina is part of the piece rather than a fault. Work covers gentle dust removal, refitting of loose indices, straightening or refinishing of hands, and re-luming only where the original material has already failed. Every piece is photographed before and after, and the option to leave the dial untouched is always presented first. Suited to inherited and mid-century watches where owners want the character kept.

What the service covers

  • Gentle dust and debris removal from the dial surface
  • Refitting of loose or displaced indices
  • Hand straightening or refinishing as agreed
  • Re-luming only where original material has already failed
  • Photographic record before and after work
  • Written note of what was left alone and why

Process steps

  1. 01Initial photograph and condition assessment
  2. 02Discussion of options including the leave-untouched choice
  3. 03Agreed work carried out under magnification at the bench
  4. 04Post-work photograph and written record prepared
